Brynmill Primary School
The Project in a Nutshell
Swansea Bay Foundation is proud to support Brynmill Primary School’s Community Hub, a welcoming and inclusive space designed to strengthen relationships between the school and its richly diverse community. With over 45 home languages spoken, the school is a beacon of connection for families across Swansea — including those new to Wales, living with additional needs, or raising young children.
Our funding supports the expansion of their regular café events and Parent Toddler Group, helping to purchase kitchen equipment and fund inclusive outdoor sessions — all aimed at building relationships, boosting wellbeing, and fostering a strong sense of belonging.
Why This Matters
From newly arrived families seeking asylum to parents of children with complex additional needs, Brynmill’s Community Hub offers safe, supportive opportunities to connect, share, and thrive. These cafés and toddler group sessions provide not only practical help, but vital social lifelines that reduce isolation and encourage integration.
By funding this project, Swansea Bay Foundation is helping create a stronger, more inclusive local community — one where everyone feels welcome, valued, and empowered to take part, no matter their background or circumstances.
