My Green Valley

The Project in a Nutshell

Swansea Bay Foundation is delighted to support My Green Valley in expanding their work through the Little Litter Pickers project. This funding will enable the group to purchase child-sized litter picking equipment, making it easier and safer for primary school children and youth groups across the Swansea and Amman Valleys to take part in community clean-up activities.

By equipping children with the right tools, this project empowers the next generation to take pride in their environment and take an active role in looking after their local area

Why This Matters

A cleaner, greener community benefits everyone — and involving children in the process builds lasting values of care, responsibility, and civic pride. My Green Valley’s dedicated volunteers, including a Schools Ambassador, work closely with schools to support environmental education and hands-on action.

This project not only enhances public spaces but also fosters wellbeing, exercise, and a sense of connection. By supporting Little Litter Pickers, Swansea Bay Foundation is helping to create cleaner neighbourhoods and a stronger sense of shared community purpose.
